A collection of photographs of the Concorde by German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans.
The Concorde was the only supersonic aircraft in passenger service, operated by Air France and British Airways from 1976 to 2003. At the time, it could cover the New York/Paris/London route in just half the time, about 3.5 hours, instead of the usual seven hours.

In this work, the camera captures the Concorde from the perspective of an ordinary person in their daily life. Its unique form, resembling the sharp angles of a bird with its wings spread, symbolizes the technological innovation and near future that people in the 1960s dreamed of, but it also exudes an eerie sense of foreignness that does not blend in with the landscape.
