A compilation album focusing on bossa nova and Latin jazz, which developed uniquely from the 1960s to the 70s in the Liguria region of Italy, which stretches along the Riviera coastline around the state capital Genoa.
The sound, which reflects the relationship between Genoa and Rio de Janeiro, where immigration and cultural exchanges have been active since the late 19th century, has many musical similarities with original bossa nova, but it also has the sounds of Ligurian and sounds that were influenced by the sounds of Italian at the time.
