A compilation album bearing the brand name of the British airline BOAC (now British Airways). This is the opposite of " BRITAIN SOUNDS GREAT " in that the songs are selected based on the image of destinations as seen from the UK. It includes songs related to countries in the Pacific region, such as Fiji, Japan, Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. From the Japanese works, two songs are included: Kyu Sakamoto's "Ue o Muite Arukou" (A3: SUKIYAKI) and Jun Mayuzumi's "Tenshi no Yuwaku" (B5: ANGEL LOVE). While keeping the image as a tourist destination, the elements of folk music are sparse, and it is a collection of soft rock/lounge/exotica songs that will make you feel like you are traveling in the sky around 1970. ——
