Released from the Manchester label Gondwana Records. The third album released in 2022 by the jazz duo Nikolaj Svaneborg (key.) and Jonas Kardyb (dr.), musicians from Denmark.
A cool Wurlitzer tone and a variety of pop rhythm patterns. A faintly melancholy melody originating from Danish folk music. A minimalist arrangement that effectively utilizes white space. All of these are harmonized in an ideal balance, resulting in a work full of the delicate sparkle and transparency typical of Scandinavian jazz.
Like Mammal Hands and GoGo Penguin from the same label, they are a live performance unit but also have an electronica feel that makes them attractive.
