A 2021 work by American multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick. The album compiles the new song (title track) B1, as well as tracks A1 and A2 that were born from the sessions for the previous album "Blackberry" (2020), and reworks of previous songs A3 and A4. The 22-minute instrumental title track was inspired by a poem of the same title written by 18th-century Irish poet Robert Dwyer Joyce in the mid-19th century and later passed down as a song in Ireland to future generations. The 22-minute song unfolds as a grand soundscape depicting the landscape of the earth with the wind swaying the barley and the anxiety and conflict of people living in difficult times.
