Peter Broderick - The Wind That Shakes the Bramble [NEW]
A 2021 work by American multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick.
This compilation includes the new song (title track) B1, numbers A1 and A2 that were born from the sessions for the previous album "Blackberry" (2020), and reworks of previous works A3 and A4.
The approximately 22-minute instrumental title track was inspired by a poem of the same name written by 18th-century Irish poet Robert Dwyer Joyce in the mid-19th century, which was later turned into a song and passed down to future generations in Ireland. The 22-minute track unfolds as a grand soundscape, depicting a landscape of the earth with the barley rustling in the wind and the anxiety and conflict of people living in difficult times.
