MEI SEMONES - ANIMARU (CASSETTE TAPE) [NEW]

Mei Semones, a Brooklyn-based Japanese-American singer-songwriter, will release her debut full-length album in 2025.
He fuses bossa nova/samba, indie rock/math rock, jazz and J-POP. His deep devotion to each genre of music and his outstanding technique of converting every detail of their essence into his guitar playing, as well as his singing, which freely mixes English and Japanese, dynamically transform the soundscapes within his songs.
Although she is an artist with such a challenging and stimulating musicality, her attitude is always natural, and on this album she sings of "unromantic love" such as love for the guitar, love for family, and love for life. Even the title "ANIMARU," which has been deliberately altered to have a more Japanese pronunciation, strongly reflects her attitude of having a deep trust in intuition and instincts.
