An archive book edited by Marvin and Ruth Sackner, world-famous collectors of typewriter art. In typewriter art, type is transformed into an art material to form graphics, while at the same time retaining the original meaning of the characters, and the combination of these elements sends out a message. This book introduces its deep appeal in three parts: a text that reviews its history and technology, a selection of images of works, and biographies of famous artists. The binding, created by the London design team Graphic Thought Facility, uses an algorithm to place two types of typewriter art on the front and back, with a different combination for each book. ——
