caffeine house - Noy's Magical Sounds [NEW]

A graphic novel by Caffeine House, aka Fuka Kadoya, whose little press "Elliott Smith's This, That, or The Other" was well-received at our store.
It depicts the various struggles of a guitar-playing girl named "Noi" as she meets friends, forms a band, records a record, and makes a live performance happen.

DIY/Her love and empathy for underground culture, as well as the depth of her research, are extraordinary. It is a wildly imaginative story, yet it also feels like the result of stoic investigation and study.
"Why did my heart react to that sound at that time?"—this is a book that might provide clues to a question that every music fan has vaguely wondered about.
The book features a rare codex binding that opens vertically, allowing the power of the illustrations to be felt even more dynamically.
