Originally published in 1963, this is the Japanese translation of the classic cookbook "La cuisine est un jeu d'enfants," which has been read and passed down for three generations in France. The book features 44 recipes for casual French home cooking, with easy-to-understand text that is also suitable for young readers and cute illustrations by Michel Olivet himself. The Japanese version was translated by Paris-based musician Emi Nekozawa, who highlights the differences between Japanese and French dining habits, such as easily available ingredients and seasonings. The author's friend, the poet Jean Cocteau, wrote the preface, in which he offers the insightful words, "If you are naughty and disobedient, then be rebellious and good."
