I'm crazy about that strawberry guy!

What kind of music do you imagine from this cover?
The gently swaying light of early autumn, the wind gently rustling the grassland, the sounds reflecting the changing sky?
A melancholy melody floating in light and shadow?

Even if you listen to it with that imagination in mind, I think you'll be amazed at how delicate and elegant it is and doesn't disappoint.

Strawberry Guy is the solo project of Liverpool-based singer-songwriter and keyboardist Alex Stephens.
The music is introspective and beautiful, reminiscent of British singer-songwriters from the 1960s.

The cover of his first album, "Sun Outside My Window," features Monet's Meadow at Giverny.
It's so nice to be able to display a record jacket of a famous painting in your room! What's more, it is printed on embossed paper, which gives it the feel of an oil painting on canvas, which is very appealing.

Strawberry Guy expresses the colors of Monet's gardens through pop music. His sweet and sad melodies, which are similar to those of Debussy and Ravel, who influenced him in the same way, will take you into a dream world...

However, I think this guy is quite a strange guy.
The inner sleeve, which also serves as a lyric sheet, features a young man (wearing shorts) who looks like a great classical composer, sitting in amidst greenery.
This young man is Alex, and the same photo is enlarged and used on the large poster that comes with the book. Even though he's not an idol or anything, this poster of Alex is following him around for some reason. And in the music video for the title track "Sun Outside My Window," Alex zooms in and out in various patterns.
Something seems a little strange.

The music and the album covers are beautiful, but there is something strange about them, so I can't help but wonder if he's a natural or eccentric person. (His Instagram account, which I couldn't help but check, is full of retro photos!)

Perhaps this design resembles the beginning of love.
Someday I would love to design something that intrigues me, using the work of an artist I work with.
