コンポーザー／ギタリストのMark Nevin（マーク・ネヴィン）とシンガーのEddi Reader（エディ・リーダー）を中心に結成された英国のバンド、Fairground Attraction（フェアグラウンド・アトラクション）。1988年リリースのデビューアルバムにして唯一のオリジナルアルバム。
全英1位を獲得した名曲"Perfect"(A2)を筆頭とするオリジナル楽曲は、すでにスタンダードナンバーの風格を纏い、カントリー、ジャズ、ケイジャンなどのルーツミュージックを取り入れたアコースティックな音作りは、渋い音楽性とは裏腹にピュアで若々しい感性を映し出す。
アルバム全編に通底する、バスキングバンドのような飾らないフレンドリーな雰囲気も魅力的。
カバーにはアメリカの写真家Elliotto Erwitt （エリオット・アーウィット）が1955年に撮影した写真作品がトリミングのうえ起用されている。
