THE SEA AND CAKE is a Chicago post-rock band featuring Sam Prekop, John McEntire, Archer Prewitt, and Eric Claridge. This is a reissue of their 3rd album from 1995.
Their style, which gradually builds songs with restrained tension and a minimal ensemble, somewhat evokes a jazz approach, and their highly art-oriented, sophisticated band groove was groundbreaking in the scene at the time.
As with their other works, bassist Eric is responsible for the cover drawings.
