THE GENTLE WAVES - SWANSONG FOR YOU [used / 2nd restock]

The Gentle Waves is a solo project by Isabel Campbell, who played cello, keyboards and vocals in Belle and Sebastian. This is her second album, released in 2000 while she was still in the band.
Based on a folky, classical sound similar to Virginia Astley's works, the album is spiced up with elements of indie rock and French pop, and together with her whispering, ephemeral singing voice, it quietly expresses a worldview that is painfully delicate and brimming with transparency.
