Sestetto Basso-Valdambrini – The Best Modern Jazz In Italy 1962 [USED]

Only a few units left

This is a 1962 work by a sextet led by two leaders: tenor saxophonist Gianni Basso and trumpeter Oscar Valdambrini.
While heavily influenced by American hard bop, which was at its peak at the time, the melodic phrases and intricate horn ensembles give the album a sense of Italian emotionality and European sophistication.
Oscar's original "Monotonia" (A4) is a highlight of this album, which was later re-evaluated in the club jazz scene.
