Sawako Kojima - Bon Anniversaire (Happy Birthday, Bonanniversaire) [Limited Edition Numbered LP | NEW]

This is the third solo album by singer-songwriter Sawako Kojima (ex. Bossa 51).
During the recording of this work, which took place at Atelier Terra in Kunitachi, Tokyo, ambient sounds were also picked up from a microphone set up in the garden, and the tranquil atmosphere created by the 70-year-old wooden house and the flowers in its garden envelops the entire work.
The album contains 11 songs, including the celebratory song "Bon Anniversaire (Happy Birthday)" that opens the album, "Le Ver Luisant (Light Bug)," which sets a melody to a poem by French poet Robert Desnos, "Birds and Dreams," a Japanese version of a song by Henri Salvador, and "That's All," which has been positioned as a "small-voiced anti-war song."
The everyday scenes depicted with a light touch are permeated with the spirit of French culture and a piety reminiscent of church music.
