Pete Jolly - Seasons (2024 reissue “CLEAR LIGHT GREEN WAX”) [used]

An experimental jazz-funk album by West Coast jazz pianist Pete Jolly, who has been active since the 1950s.

Previously known for his precise and refined jazz, Jolly created this album from a mere four-hour impromptu session, transforming his style into something free and trippy.
It features numerous funky breaks and enchanting solo parts utilizing instruments like the Wurlitzer, Hammond organ, and even accordion. These tracks were later sampled by famous artists such as Cypress Hill, De La Soul, J Dilla (Jay Dee), and Busta Rhymes. This re-evaluation within the hip-hop/rare groove context has made it a timeless and popular rare classic.

This is the first analog reissue, released in 2024 by Future Days Recordings.
It features the latest remastering from the original analog tapes by master engineer Kevin Gray, and comes in a Clear Light Green Wax vinyl edition, evoking the imagery of the tracks "Spring" and "Leaves."
