Marian McPartland - Interplay [used]

Sale price¥4,840 JPY
Only 1 left in stock

A 1976 reissue by MPS, a prestigious German label, of a 1969 recording by the duo of Marian McPartland (p.) and Linc Milliman (b.).

Marian's performance was so impressive that even the renowned Bill Evans once said, "She is the most impressive pianist I have heard recently."* Her musical world, which emphasizes intimate musical dialogue with the bassist and weaves chamber-like elegance and serenity, is in the lineage of the interplay pioneered by Evans and LaFaro in "Waltz for Debby."
This edition features a renewed jacket design. The visual aspect also reflects the world created by the duo's music.

*Bill Evans's comment at the 1975 Monterey Festival can be found in the liner notes on the back cover of this album.
