Gia Margaret - Romantic Piano (LP: Black Vinyl) [NEW]

A poignant 2023 release by Gia Margaret, who, after recovering from the loss of her singing voice and navigating the pandemic, translated her complex inner world into a deeply moving collection of instrumental piano compositions.

Her definition of "Romantic" goes far beyond conventional love stories—it aligns closely with the sensibilities of German Romantic poets, immersing oneself in nature to savour a quiet, serene melancholy. While centred on delicate piano melodies, the album subtly weaves in field recordings and ambient/electronica arrangements, evoking a quiet forest landscape where gentle scenery meets shifting emotions.

While primarily an instrumental work, her subtle vocals can still be heard on track A6, "City Song", as well as the physical-only bonus piece, "A Hidden Track".
