Erlend Øye is a musician who is a member of the Norwegian duo Kings Of Convenience and is currently based in Syracuse, Sicily.
This is the first full album under the name ERLEND OYE & LA COMITIVA, a project he started in 2019 with local Italian musicians.
"LA COMITIVA" means "close friends" in Italian, and the band's sound, which combines an acoustic Latin groove with emotional melodies, is full of a relaxed and open feeling. At the same time, the transparency and delicate touch that is common to Kings Of Convenience's works also underpins this work, bringing an unexpected sense of comfort, like a gust of cool breeze blowing through a perpetual summer paradise.
