A collaborative mini-album by producer/composer Church Andrews and drummer Matt Davies.
The music is constructed from rhythmic patterns derived from the Fibonacci sequence (each number is the sum of the two previous numbers), which is found in nature, such as the branches of a tree and the spiral shape of a sunflower seed, and is performed with just one synthesizer and one acoustic drum.
The sound world is like a depiction of the intricate structure of plant cells, with the minimalism of Terry Riley and the beat sensibility of J Dilla, and you can experience the thrilling moment when the accumulation of mathematical phrases leads to organic art.
