Released in 1981. This piece is part of the series ``THE SUPER SOUND,'' which focuses on American oldies pop, which was undergoing a wave of reappraisal at the time, and reproduces it with new arrangements and recordings in accordance with the 1981 style.
This work features a five-piece clarinet ensemble led by fusion/crossover player Koji Fujiie. From the rich mid-bass to the clear and crisp high tones, this is an instrumental album that takes full advantage of the charm of the clarinet and is familiar to the ear. Includes a 10-page insert with song explanations and a timeline of domestic and international pop music history from the 1950s to the 60s. The illustrations are by Hideto Suzuki, and the art direction is by Makoto Wada.
