Lia Darjes - PLATES I-XXXI [NEW]

A collection of works by German photographer Lia Darjes.
The film was produced by inviting friends to a table in the garden and observing the food, drink, and tableware they left behind. When birds or wild animals came along, the camera was activated to record the scene.
The contrast of light and dark and color against a black background is reminiscent of 17th century Dutch still life paintings, and the work depicts the moment when the realms of humans and wild animals intersect in a seamless blend of documentary and artistic expression.
The book design, featuring intricate foil stamping on velvet, is also beautiful.
