Marianne Faithle was a British singer who enjoyed idol-like popularity in the 1960s, including her hit song "As Tears Go By." 10th album released in 1983.
Her new husky, punchy vocal style, which she established with her first hit in a long time, ``Broken English'' (1979), was brought to life through sessions with skilled musicians such as guitarist Barry Reynolds and keyboardist Wally Badarou. After that, it was developed as 80's contemporary pop/rock.
