Kenny Burrell - ST (2022 reissue, BLUE NOTE TONE POET SERIES) [used]

Sale price¥6,600 JPY
Out of stock

This is jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell's second BLUE NOTE album, released in 1956.

The album includes many passionate performances that incorporate congas and tenor saxophone, such as "Get Happy" (A1), "Cheeta" (B1), and "How About You" (B4).
Among them, “But Not For Me” (A2), the only track on this album featuring lyrical guitar played solely by Burrell, stands out as a beautiful and striking piece. The delicate trajectory of the sound, which makes it seem as though you can hear the vibrations of the strings resonating in the silent space, resonates with the brushwork of Andy Warhol’s cover art, created before he became famous as a pioneer of pop art.
A jazz guitar album that is like the epitome of dandyism, with a quiet blues soul hidden deep within its intelligent and smart appearance.
