Published in 1985. This is the author's debut work written when he was 17 years old. A youth novel set in Kobe in the 1980s, depicting the ``four days of exam break'' of high school students trying to live smartly and stylishly. A writing style that clearly shows the influence of Haruki Murakami and Yasuo Tanaka, a deliberately disrupted sense of language through the extensive use of katakana, hiragana, and foreign words, and proper nouns carefully scattered as "symbols", all of which give off the snobbery of the 1980s. While it strongly reflects the times, the delicate sensibilities and integrity characteristic of teenagers at the heart of the story remain fresh and fresh, and still touch the heart today. Illustrator/graphic designer Osamu Harada is in charge of the book cover.
