A collection of works by American photographer Alec Soth, published in conjunction with an exhibition held in Munich and Hayama in 2022.
Five collections of works, from 2004's "SLEEPING BY THE MISSISSIPPI" to 2022's "A POUND OF PICTURES", are included in one collection by using thin, non-bleed-through newsprint (newspaper/covered paper) material. In addition, each work is accompanied by an afterthought by the artist himself, as well as notes from the shooting, in the form of a supplementary audio commentary.
What each work has in common is the immersive feeling of a road trip, capturing moments that are unique to that time and place, while taking in both the clear and cloudy. When the cover is unfolded, it becomes a large-sized poster that shows the shooting locations of each work as pins on a map, allowing you to imagine the footprints of the photographer's travels.
A text sheet with the author's autograph (Japanese translation of the preface) is included.
