This is the debut album by the trio consisting of Zach Brock (violin), Bob Lanzetti (guitar), and Keita Ogawa (percussion), musicians with close ties to the Brooklyn, NY jazz-funk band Snarky Puppy.
Their improvisational playing, set against a wide range of musical backgrounds including jazz, folk, ambient and world music, exudes an organic and open atmosphere, but also creates a labyrinthine landscape that is difficult to navigate.
The cover art, constructed by designer Emilia Mendes, combines drawings by Lula and Sadie Brock, Riku Ogawa, Reagan De Alba and others, and fits well with the jam session feel and airy feeling that permeates the entire album.
