The 4th album by The National Jazz Trio Of Scotland, a unit led by Scottish musician Bill Wells. Despite the confusion of not actually being a trio or a jazz unit (some say they intentionally tried not to incorporate jazz elements), what comes to mind is a song reminiscent of the beautiful snowy landscapes of Scotland. Highly transparent, crystal-like ambient pop. The song is beautifully arranged to make the most of vocalist Kate Sudgen's dignified voice, with occasional improvisations, and you can hear Bill Wells' twisted romanticism throughout. Musicians from the Glasgow area, including Stevie Jackson from Belle & Sebastian and Norman Blake from Teenage Fanclub, will also be in attendance.
