LP reissue of a 2019 work by Tokyo-based composer/pianist Ryuta Iwamura.
A collage of environmental sounds recorded in cities such as New York, Chicago, Rio, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Seoul, Taipei, and Tokyo, mixed with piano performances.
The undulations of the piano, which at times accompany the environmental sounds like a soundtrack, and at other times follow the environmental sounds in the background as the melody develops, remind us of both the carelessness and nostalgic feeling of traveling through the city.
