His style of work, which captures the sunlit landscape of the American West Coast with a dry sensibility and transforms it into a colorful, pop work, perfectly responded to the admiration for American culture felt by Japanese people in the 1980s, and he gained immense popularity, especially among young people at the time.
This book features 132 of his prints created between 1984 and 1993.
