The joy of decorating your cover art

Sawako Kojima's third album, "Bon Anniversaire," was released on vinyl on October 15th.

The impressive artwork was created by Takayuki Fujikawa, a painter who has been active for many years and is based in Kunitachi, Tokyo.
The first album, "Kaino Futa," features a fresh watercolor painting that evokes the soap bubbles, rain, and sea of ​​the songs included in the album. The second album, "Mon Jardin," features line drawings that look as if gently woven sounds and words have been sewn onto fabric. And now, the third album, features colorfully composed colors that harmonize in a distorted way... a painting that affirms this existence.

Each of the three albums is wonderful, but I think this third album fits best on an LP record size (12 inches).
The CD version features a poster that also serves as a lyric card that can be folded to reveal part of the artwork as the cover, while the LP version has the entire artwork laid out across the entire page.
This is a very nice design that doesn't just enlarge or reduce, but is also designed to suit each media size.

This LP is perfectly balanced, so you can hang it on the wall or place it on a record shelf and enjoy it as art.
This perfectly fits the concept of rovakk musikk, "Art pieces that brighten up your everyday life / Cover art as interior decor." (Plus, with the LP version, it's nice to be able to read the accompanying lyric sheet while still displaying the jacket.)

However, it goes without saying that the music included is excellent, not just from the perspective of "displaying art."
The sound that Sawako Kojima created with her trusted musical friends is soft and has an air of everyday life, yet is also supple and strong.
Our prayers for the cherishing of newborn life, and for peace and happiness, are by no means large, but the quieter and more peaceful it is, the more deeply they seem to permeate and spread.

"Bon Anniversaire" is a congratulatory phrase meaning "Happy Birthday."
All life, big and small, black and white, red and blue, left and right, light and darkness, anger, sadness, joy and happiness... A quiet, celebratory feeling that makes you want to say "congratulations" to all the things that have been born.
And in the final song, "That's All," we deeply appreciate the fact that we have all that today.

Empathy for the image, attitude, and expression of the artist you admire.
You might want to display the beautiful cover art as a talisman or a statement of your resolve.
