A visual book of the exhibition of the same name held at the Museum of Applied Art (Frankfurt) in 2005 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the CI design of Lufthansa, Germany's flagship carrier. Starting with the branding design efforts of Otl Eicher, who combined the sharp crane symbol mark with bright yellow and highly visible Helvetica bold to create a logo that is popular worldwide, it has been used in airport lounges, ticket counters, and onboard aircraft. We look back at the 50-year history of the company's corporate identity, which has continued to develop and improve in a variety of areas, from interiors, amenities, uniforms, and advertising.
