An art box by Mimoko Machiko, a painter and picture book author who moved from Tokyo to Amami Oshima in 2019.
The box contains seven items, including art pieces, postcards, and posters, in an attempt to recreate the experiment that took place at the exhibition "Umimatou" held in spring 2022 (see below for details).
This book allows readers to experience the dynamic influence that the sea and forests of Amami have had on the author's methods of expression and outlook on life. Limited to 500 copies.

Each box contains an art piece of different shape and size. It's a surprise as to what's inside.

Ⓑ A statement sheet printed using letterpress printing. It is printed on rough-textured paper that has small particles inside.

Ⓒ B3 modified poster of “The Buzz of Light,” photographed by photographer Yayoi Arimoto while she was present at the production of her new work on Amami Oshima.

Ⓓ The tops of the postcards are glued with fluorescent yellow glue, and a total of 11 postcards are bound together. They are easy to remove.

ⒺThe booklet, “People Wandering the Sea,” is composed of contributions from people who have a deep connection to this endeavor.
Each book is carefully bound by hand, threaded, stitched, and knotted.
