The Softies, a duo consisting of Rose Melberg (Tiger Trap, Gaze, Go Sailor) and Jen Sbragia (All Girl Summer Fun Band), have released their first original album in 24 years since their previous album, "Holiday In Rhode Island" (2000).
Their style remains unchanged, depicting the unadorned poetry of everyday life with a minimalist arrangement of clean electric guitar and two-song harmonies, and their cute and fresh impression remains surprisingly the same.
Its unchanging transparency, as if it had been filtered and gushed forth over the course of many years, exudes a quiet awe.
The artwork is by Japanese printmaker Yanagimoto Fumi.
