This is the sixth album by LA-based singer-songwriter Dent May.
The phrase in the title, "What's for breakfast today?", is actually an inside joke between him and his partner, as well as a mantra that helps him stay calm.
The album is full of skilled songwriting that draws on a variety of good music, including good old West Coast rock, indie guitar rock by bands like The Strokes and Weezer that colored his youth, old soul, and disco, and with the help of guest musicians such as Jordana and Pearl and the Oysters, an optimistic and airy feeling permeates the entire album.
