This is a collection of recordings of sessions that Hochzeitskapelle, a German alternative brass band formed by Markus Acher of The Notwist and others, held in Tokyo and Kobe with Japanese indie musicians who are close friends of the band.
Participants from Japan include Tenniscoats, Edei Makon, Ikema Yuuko, Kama Aina (Aoyagi Takuji), Gratin Carnival, Zayaendo, and Mitamura Wind and Percussion Ensemble.
A little mysterious and avant-garde, free and cheerful, sentimental and somewhat nostalgic, this is a dense and happy record of sound exchange that you can enjoy to your heart's content in a volume of 24 songs across two discs.
