A 2023 work by Hauschka, the solo project of German pianist/composer Volker Bertelmann.
The rhythmic and mysterious sounds of prepared piano are sprinkled throughout the album, and the music is full of ups and downs, traversing the boundaries of post-classical, ambient and house.
The listener is enveloped in a cinematic sound world unique to Hauschka, who has composed the scores for numerous films and TV programs, including the 2022 version of All Quiet on the Western Front, and the scenery before the listener's eyes is colored like a scene from a film.
