Released from Mr Bongo, a label in Brighton, UK. The 2022 debut album by Bologna-based duo Marxist Love Disco Ensemble.
This work was influenced by the disco music of Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean in the 1970s, and was produced on an 8-track recorder. While redefining disco music as ``music for oppressed minorities'' and taking a radical stance against Western capitalism, the sound remains pop and catchy. You can also feel the musical connections with guitar pop artists such as Orange Juice and Jens Reekmann.
