THE SEA AND CAKE is a Chicago post-rock band featuring Sam Prekop, John McEntire, Archer Prewitt, and Eric Claridge. Reissue of the 3rd album released in 1995.
Their style of gradually enlivening the songs with a restrained tension and a minimalist ensemble somewhat reminds us of a jazz approach, and their highly art-oriented and sophisticated band grooves were extremely groundbreaking in the scene at the time. Ta.
As with other works, bassist Eric is in charge of the cover drawings.
