A five-track EP by Taken By Trees, the solo unit of Stockholm-based singer Victoria Bergsman.
This is a collection of covers of solo works by her beloved vocalist Colin Blunstone (ex. The Zombies). A2, B4, and B5 are selections from “One Year” (1971), and A1 and A3 are selections from “Ennismore” (1972).
The elegant strings that defined the mood of the original have been replaced with vibraphone, saxophone, flute, and clarinet, and the sound is enveloped in subdued, languid vocals, creating a dreamy, refreshing scene from the collection of classical masterpieces.
