A new 2022 edition of the 1969 work of American picture book author Goffstein.

Through a certain incident that shakes the heart of Wooden Doll Maker Goldie, the story is told in simple words and questions the gap between one's beliefs as a maker and the evaluation of others, and the meaning of truly doing one's work. It is spelled out using line drawings.
This work has been popular in Japan for many years under the title ``Goldie the Doll Maker.''
In this edition, the illustrations have been replaced with newly discovered uncolored original paintings, and the cover design has also been redesigned. It has a compact size that looks like a smaller CD jacket, and is covered with cloth and stamped with foil.
All text is in English. Comes with a separate volume containing illustrations of props that appear in the story and a synopsis in Japanese.
